Terms for using BeardStyles previews, accounts, and paid features

These Terms of Service govern your use of BeardStyles websites, accounts, face-shape tools, beard previews, saved results, subscriptions, credit packs, and support. By creating an account, buying a product, or using an interactive service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the interactive or paid services.
You must be at least 18 years old and have reached the legal age to enter a contract where you live to create an account or use a paid feature. General public content may be viewed without an account. We do not collect a birth date or use face analysis to estimate age.
If a minor has submitted data contrary to this requirement, the person or a parent or guardian may contact support@beardstyles.org to request deletion. We may verify identity and authority before acting.
BeardStyles provides browser-based face-shape estimates and AI-generated beard appearance previews. Face-shape analysis is not identity recognition, medical advice, or professional grooming advice. Results may vary with the source photo, lighting, face shape, selected style, model behavior, and real-world hair growth. A preview does not promise that an actual trim will look the same or suit every person.
You decide whether to upload a photo or act on a preview. Do not use the service for diagnosis, identity verification, emergency decisions, or another high-risk purpose.
Provide accurate registration and billing information, keep credentials and sign-in links confidential, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. Do not share access in a way that bypasses plan or credit limits.
You must have the rights and permissions needed for every photo or other material you submit. Do not upload another person's photo without a lawful basis and their permission where required.
You retain your rights in photos, prompts, and other content you submit. You grant BeardStyles a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, adapt only as technically necessary, and process that content solely to provide the face-shape analysis, beard preview, saving, troubleshooting, or support you request. The license allows our listed service providers to process the content on our behalf for those same purposes and permits cross-border technical processing described in the Privacy Policy.
This license lasts only as long as needed for those requested purposes and ends when the content or account is deleted. Limited copies may remain temporarily in provider systems, backups, or lifecycle queues, or under a specific legal hold, as described in the Privacy Policy; they are not licensed for a new purpose.

The BeardStyles service, brand, interface, software, original site content, and related assets are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable right to use the service; they do not transfer our intellectual property. Your ownership and the limited user-content license are governed by Section 5.
We may maintain, update, limit, suspend, or discontinue a feature. External providers, networks, model capacity, and maintenance can affect availability. We may restrict or end access when reasonably needed to address prohibited use, security threats, non-payment, legal requirements, or material breach of these Terms, and will provide notice where reasonably practicable and legally permitted.
You may stop using BeardStyles at any time. Account deletion follows the current process in the Privacy Policy. Self-service deletion is unavailable, and the protected deletion operation cannot run, while the production safety switch remains off. Support can receive and assess a request but cannot complete an unavailable deletion.
Pro is USD 14.99 per month and automatically renews each month unless canceled. The Stripe Checkout page shows the amount actually charged, including any applicable promotion or tax information presented there. Stripe processes payment details.
You may cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal linked from your BeardStyles billing settings. Cancellation stops renewal after the current paid period; Pro access and included benefits continue through that period's end. We do not automatically prorate or refund unused days solely because you cancel. A subscription already scheduled to cancel remains active until Stripe reports that the paid period has ended.
One-time credit packs do not renew. Credit packs are valid for 365 days from purchase, subject to any mandatory right that applicable law gives you. The Checkout confirmation controls the package, amount, currency, and credits for that transaction. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and can be used only for eligible BeardStyles generation features.
You may send a refund request within 14 days after each charge to support@beardstyles.org. Requests are reviewed manually rather than approved automatically.
If the credits or paid benefits attributable to that charge have not been used, you may receive a full refund. After those credits or benefits have been used, we generally do not accept a change-of-mind refund. We will still review duplicate or unauthorized charges, service failures, and any refund or cancellation right that applicable law requires.
When a refund succeeds, eligible unused credits tied to that payment are retracted to the extent available and supported by the refund amount; if matching credits are unavailable, the adjustment may require review. A refund alone does not cancel a subscription and does not necessarily end paid-period access. Stripe sends the funds back to the original payment method; the arrival time depends on Stripe and the card issuer or payment institution. Canceling a subscription and requesting a refund are separate actions.
To the extent permitted by law, BeardStyles and its output are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent availability of a feature, a particular preview, or an actual grooming outcome. Third-party services and generated output can fail, change, or be unavailable. Nothing in the service is professional medical, legal, financial, or grooming advice.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, BeardStyles is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable from use of the service. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it remains subject to the rights and remedies required by that law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights, liability that cannot legally be limited, or remedies for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other matters that applicable law protects. If a disclaimer or limitation is invalid where you live, it applies only to the maximum extent allowed there.
Please first contact support@beardstyles.org so we can try to resolve a concern. If it is not resolved, either party may bring the matter before a court that has lawful jurisdiction under the rules that apply to the dispute. These Terms do not select one country or state as the exclusive governing law, require arbitration, waive class proceedings, or reduce mandatory rights granted by the law of your location.
We may update these Terms when the service, pricing structure, providers, practices, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted prominently, and existing account holders will receive email notice only when a change materially affects their rights or when law requires it. Changes do not retroactively remove a mandatory right.
